Child health is affected by many factors, including malnutrition, low birth weight, unsafe drinking water, and environmental hazards. 

Risk factors

Malnutrition: A lack of essential vitamins and minerals can cause stunted growth, fatigue, and a weakened immune system 

Low birth weight: A risk factor for child health 

Unsafe drinking water and food: Can cause illness 

Poor hygiene practices: Can cause illness 

Overcrowded conditions: Can be a risk factor for child health 

Environmental hazards: Such as air pollution, poisoning, and traffic injuries 

 

Other factors

Income and social status: Higher income and social status are linked to better health 

Education: Low education levels are linked with poor health 

Brain-based disorders: Caused by neurochemical problems or structural abnormalities of the brain 

Behavioral disorders: Can be a cause of childhood disorders
